Stunning Summer Wedding in the Hudson Valley
Erica and Benji were a dream for us to work with as Hudson Valley wedding planners. Not only did they choose one of our favorite wedding venues, Hutton Brickyards, but they also brought in such a sense of joy to the wedding planning process. In Erica’s own words, “my favorite part of the planning process was making quick decisions when my gut feeling felt right”. They trusted us to guide them and ultimately created a wedding day that was beautifully and uniquely theirs. Gorgeous Summer Wedding in the Hudson Valley
When we asked Erica and Benji what their vision for their wedding day was, they agreed that they wanted everyone to leave feeling like, “wow – that couple really loves each other and had fun with people they love.” We knew we could get behind that mission! They wanted their wedding to feel FUN and simple. Although they wanted their wedding to be gorgeous, they didn’t want any stress during their wedding weekend. Can you relate? From the moment they started getting ready to their first look before the ceremony, you could feel the anticipation in the air and just how ready these two were to be married.
Outdoor Jewish Wedding Ceremony
Both Erica and Benji are Jewish, and it was important that the day reflect that. Before the ceremony, they gathered together with their family to sign the Ketubah. As time for the ceremony arrived, Erica gracefully walked down the aisle towards a stunning Huppah, inspired by the beauty of the earth. The breathtaking backdrop of their ceremony, with panoramic views of the Hudson River, is just one of the many reasons why we absolutely adore working at Hutton Brickyards. The experience was truly exceptional.
Open Air Wedding Reception
A moment for the reception design! This was one of our favorites this past wedding season. The wedding reception had a light and understated design, with soft colors and patterned lace linens setting the tone. Pops of deep pink and purple florals brought bursts of color to the centerpieces displayed in bud vases. The open-air venue added a touch of magic to the overall atmosphere.
Main Course Catering Delivered
We have featured Main Course catering on the blog before, and we couldn’t help but bring them back for this wedding! They truly outdid themselves with the delectable menu. The grazing table was an absolute hit (and one of our favorite additions to any cocktail hour). As always, Main Course delivered fresh ingredients and delicious flavors to make everyone’s meal unforgettable.
A Lively and Joyful Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was truly a celebration to remember! Immediately after Erica and Benji’s first dance, their guests were treated to a lively and joyous Horah. The atmosphere was electric when they added an Israeli singer to the band for a special 25 minute performance, and everyone went absolutely wild. It was the perfect way to celebrate the night and we know that it will remain one of Erica and Benji’s favorite memories from their big day! We also absolutely LOVED Erica’s outfit change at the end of the night!
Advice for Future Summer Weddings in Hudson Valley
We always love to ask couples what advice they would give to future couples and Erica and Benji did not hold back! First thing, make sure to eat and have electrolytes the day of the wedding (even if you’re not hungry!). They also recommended taking in the special moments where it’s just the two of you (like during your first look or the moment after the ceremony), because these moments really grounded them and made them feel into the moment. After a decade of wedding planning, we know just how valuable this is as well! Highly recommend.
When we asked how we helped make their day special and stress-free, they said that they loved how we handled stressful little hiccups for them leading up to and during their wedding day so that they could “just party and enjoy the time”. They also mentioned that we helped them choose other vendors they would have never known about which made their day super special. We were beyond honored to be trusted with the task and could not have been more grateful to work with both of them.
