A Warm + Welcoming Wedding Color Palette

When we asked Laura and Michael what they wanted for their wedding day, their biggest priority was that it felt like a lot of fun. They wanted their wedding to be beautiful, but not stuffy. To match the outdoor garden feel of the venue, we focused on organic arrangements for the florals and a soft yet cheerful French-inspired color palette of blue, white, ivory, and pops of yellow. Laura wore a gorgeous wedding gown with flower appliques and Michael brought some personality to his classic blue suit with some fun patterned socks.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Meadowridge

When couples come to Upstate New York to tie the knot, we can’t blame them for wanting to take advantage of all the beauty the Hudson Valley has to offer. Meadowridge on Hudson was the perfect wedding venue for Laura and Michael, who naturally have an outdoorsy side (he proposed during a trip to Cyprus at Michael’s parent’s beach house while wearing a GoPro and looking for sea turtles!). Their ceremony was officiated by a family friend, who effortlessly captured Laura and Michael’s cheerful and curious sides. These two met on the dating app “Coffee meets Bagel” and bonded over their love of audiobooks and haven’t looked back since!

An Alfresco Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony, Laura and Michael invited guests to enjoy an outdoor cocktail hour with one of the most decadent spreads we have ever seen. Guests could help themselves to a colorful array of treats and sip a signature cocktail while enjoying the incredible summer weather (while Laura and Michael were taking their wedding portraits).

A Floral Garden Escort Display

While we did eventually have to bring guests inside for the wedding reception, we kept the garden feel with a stunning floral garden escort display. Guests could pluck their escort cards from an abundance of white florals and greenery before heading inside for dinner and dancing.

A Classic Barn Wedding Reception

The barn at Meadowridge on Hudson was transformed into a true fairytale setting filled with acrylic table numbers, taper candles, and organic floral centerpieces. We used a mixture of round tables with soft blue linens and long farmhouse tables filled with greenery, florals, and candles to create an ethereal ambiance. Their wedding cake was a classic three-tiered masterpiece with fresh florals. After we triple-checked all of the details, all Laura and Michael (and their guests!) had to do was show up and enjoy.

A Gorgeous Wedding at Meadowridge on Hudson

When Laura and Michael came to us, they had a clear vision of what they wanted their wedding day to feel like. Together, we sorted out the details from there. One of the things that were important to them was having options for guests to enjoy their wedding day “their own way”. While most of their guests packed the dance floor all night long, there were also options for guests who wanted to enjoy a bonfire outside to celebrate too.
