Before we delve into the wedding details, let us provide a brief introduction to Miraval Resorts in the Berkshires. Miraval offers an all-inclusive resort experience, catering to adults with a focus on mindfulness and wellbeing. With a commitment to holistic wellness, Miraval prioritizes your overall health and offers a serene escape from the bustling world. Since most of the couples we work with come from NYC, it’s no surprise that they feel drawn to the property. The Event Spaces at Miraval in the Berkshires
As wedding planners who unapologetically declare that they don’t love ballroom weddings, we loved that Miraval had something for everyone. If you are considering a wedding at Miraval, you can choose from a variety of settings regardless of if you are having an intimate gathering or a grand celebration.
First, we have the Tea Room. The Tea Room is a charming and flexible space that can comfortably host up to 26-36 guests. It’s perfect for couples looking to host a rehearsal dinner or a morning-after brunch. Adjacent to the Tea Room is the English Garden Patio, an inviting outdoor area that can be transformed into a private space upon request (it is typically open to the public). This makes it an ideal choice for an indoor-outdoor cocktail hour, seamlessly blending the beauty of nature with the elegance of the Tea Room.
For a more intimate affair, the Music Room offers a capacity of 72 people and is an excellent choice for a small wedding ceremony or rehearsal dinner. With its doors opening to the bar, it ensures a seamless flow for guests to enjoy both the ceremony and reception. Another intimate space is the Stonewell, catering to a maximum of 18 guests and providing a cozy atmosphere for rehearsal dinners.
Then, if you desire breathtaking views and a touch of luxury (as we have all come to expect from the Berkshires), the Rose Terrace is the perfect spot for a cocktail hour. Situated behind the mansion and overlooking the mountains, it offers a picturesque setting for your guests to mingle and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The Great Lawn, with its stunning backdrop and sunset-facing orientation, is an idyllic location for wedding ceremonies at golden hour.
More Event Spaces at Miraval
For larger receptions, their Ballroom is an opulent space that can accommodate up to 204 guests (although a guest count closer to 165 is recommended if you don’t want to feel squished). With ample room for a dance floor, bar, and entertainment, it ensures comfort and elegance throughout the celebration. Adjacent to the Ballroom is the Ballroom Terrace, where guests can enjoy a delightful cocktail hour overlooking the scenic beauty of the estate.
Finally, the 1894 Restaurant, located near the Rose Terrace, offers a convenient and sophisticated space for your dining needs. Couples can rent the mansions 10 rooms for their wedding weekend for a truly incredible experience. Fun fact: President William Taft saw the ceiling in the restaurant and liked it so much that he had them create an exact replica in the Oval Office.
