After the wedding, we always love to ask our couples what advice they would give to couples planning their OWN wedding in Kingston NY (or really – anywhere in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, or Berkshires!). We love Krystal and Jesse’s answer so much that we wanted to share it here:

Besides hiring the best wedding planner in the Hudson Valley – I would advise other brides to have fun throughout the whole process and to enjoy the actual day. There are not too many days in your life when you and your hubby will have your most loved ones all in one place.

We know we might be biased as wedding planners, but we TRULY do want to help you plan something that’s both beautiful and full of fun. We love designing weddings that bring out their personalities and incorporate parts of our couple’s love stories, but above all else, we also want you to actually ENJOY your wedding day (and if we are doing our jobs right – we want to help you enjoy the planning process too!). There’s a lot of noise out there on the internet that might make you feel like wedding planning is stressful or time-consuming so if that’s all you’ve been hearing lately, let us be the first ones to remind you: wedding planning can actually be fun!

A Gorgeous Waterfront Wedding Ceremony

We are spoiled here in the Hudson Valley and we always love a waterfront wedding ceremony. Jesse proposed to Krystal on a hike up Monhonk Preserve to the SkyTop Tower (with their sisters and closest friends waiting at the top with champagne) so it only made sense for the two to tie the knot in front of another epic view (even if this one wasn’t a surprise).

As they reminisce about their wedding ceremony, they are touched by the generosity of their loved ones who went above and beyond to make their special day truly unforgettable. Jesse’s grandfather’s close friend, David, even became an ordained minister to officiate the ceremony, while another dear friend, Ken, took part in the ring ceremony. It was actually so sweet – Ken has been finding Jesse’s keys around the family marina for YEARS now, and so during the ceremony the groomsmen pretended to “lose them” and then Ken sprung up and said “Oh Jesse you might be looking for these” with the rings in hand. Everyone laughed!

A Gorgeous Wedding Reception in Kingston NY

Krystal and Jesse included a TON of personal details into their day, but one of our favorite was the mini bottles of Jägermeisters (Mini-Meisters) served with tiny thank you tags as their wedding favors. On Krystal’s side of the family, Jägermeister has been the drink of choice for decades. Enjoying the beverage after a big family meal or as a way to honor a recently lost loved one has been a family tradition since before she was born so naturally, it was nice to include that into their wedding design.

Another Beautiful Wedding in Kingston NY

Krystal and Jesse’s wedding was simply an unforgettable event. From their intimate first look in the morning to the last dance of the night, you could feel the love and joy emanating from all the guests. The dance floor was packed all night long, and it truly felt so special to be a part of! It was definitely one of those weddings that we would love to re-live again and again!
